Michael Ronson (26 May 1946 – 29 April 1993) was an English guitarist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and producer.

He was born in Kingston-Upon-Hull and died aged 46 from Liver Cancer.

He is probably most famous as one of David Bowie’s Spiders from Mars, but he was a session musician who recorded with Ian Hunter and Morrissey, as well as performing with Van Morrison and Bob Dylan.

His memorial is in East Park, Hull and was funded by monies raised by his friend, Steve Harley.

It was unveiled in June 2017.
