Don’t have a ukulele of your own? No problem - I can lend you one and when you’ve decided to continue (which you probably will) you can then buy one of your own.

Having successfully run the RoydonStrings Ukulele Group for about 10 years, it now seems a suitable time to set up a new ukulele group strictly for beginners. Eventually members of this group could progress to the established group which continues to thrive on Tuesday evenings.

The new Beginners’ Ukulele Group is on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm. Although the group has already started,  it’s not too late to join now.

As with the other groups, there is no charge other than a contribution to the cost of hiring the hall. Depending on numbers, this is likely to be £2-£3 per session.

Learning to play a musical instrument takes time, but it’s important that you don’t put in all the time at once. Little and often is the best approach and for that reason, in the very early days, the Beginners’ Ukulele sessions will be 1 hour long.

I’ll show you how to play some of your favourite songs. I’ll also teach you to play various styles.

If you’re interested in joining, click on the link alongside and send me an email to introduce yourself. I can then provide you with music for the sessions so that you can come with everything you need to begin your journey to becoming a ukulele player.

New Beginners’ Ukulele Group

Don’t read music? Not a problem. I’ll provide you with song sheets that are easily read and understand.

Please do not just turn up as you won’t have the resources and therefore won’t be able to take a full active part in the session.
