I made this 12 string guitar when I was 16. It’s based on a Gibson J-45 and is made with Indian rosewood back and side, Balkan spruce top, and rosewood fretboard and bridge.

The rosette (the marquetry around the soundhole) was made from 1mm square strips and inlayed by hand.

The only parts I didn’t make was the tailpiece and the machines, but I did make the bushes.

I still have, I’ll never sell it, I occassionally play it, as does my son, but it’s really retired now although it’s still very playable even after almost 50 years.
