Not if you don’t want to. I produce sheet ‘music’ as either words with chords or music in a form referred to as tablature, or tab for short. It’s all very simple and straight forward, but only if you want to.

Again, only if you want to. I have several very simple sheets to give to those who want to learn it, but it’s not necessary. Some people prefer to learn by understanding why something is as it is rather than just following an instruction.

Not if you don’t want to. Some do, others prefer paper but which whichever you choose you will need to have something to stand either the paper or the tablet on to read from it.

Me too - that’s why I read the songs from either paper or a tablet.

Yes. We have fun. Play a bit, sing a bit, have a chat, cup of tea or coffee. It’s all very relaxed.

Yes. We have performed in Harlow for St Clare Hospice, in Roydon for the Open Gardens and in Roydon village as part of the Summer Festival. But this is not about public performances. It's primarily a social gathering where folks can come along and learn to play song of the songs from their earlier years abd play them with others.

Yes, you will need to buy one. It’s difficult to imagine learning to play an instrument without actually owning it. It’s rather like learning to swim without water!

I can certainly tell you what not to buy and where not to buy it, but it’s difficult to recommend an instrument without actually playing it - especially if it’s a used instrument. You’re usually safe sticking to a known make - Epiphone or Yamaha make great guitars for around £100. For a ukulele, go for Kala or Lanakai. Both make excellent ukuleles.
